ACTIVITY & COMMITMENT TO CLEANLINESS
Tropical Hideaway takes standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are proactively implementing additional hygiene procedures and precautions to ensure that the highest possible standards are upheld throughout every area and service which we provides for our guest and our staff.
We are committed to playing our part in trying to prevent Covid-19 from escalating. We ask that our guests do the same and follow healthcare and government guidelines regarding personal hygiene, respiratory etiquette regarding Covid-19.
On a daily basis, our staff are working to ensure that they meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning. Our apartment health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from hand washing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guest room and common area cleaning procedures.

Hand Hygiene
Proper and frequent hand washing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. In our daily meetings, our staffs are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It’s important for their health and that of our guests. There is one automatic hand sanitizer in the entrance of the reception and another one in the entrance of the building.
There are health and hygiene reminders inside each apartment and = in the entrance of the building and some public areas. Our apartment use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses.
Checking-In
The checking form will be place in the apartment prior to check in. Guest will be required to fill in a Health Declaration form and specify the countries or other places within Seychelles they have recently visited. This will help the ministry of health with contact tracing in case of being positive of COVID 19.
Each client temperature will be taken and noted. We will also note down of any symptoms of the COVID-19. Client will be required to sanitize their hands and ask to wait in the waiting area or to proceed to their designated apartment. Only the person doing the payment will be allowed in the reception. The POS machine will be clean after each transactions.
Staff
We have train our staff to ensure their and the guest safety and security.
Our staff will be provided with all their PPE. They will discard away their gloves and disinfect all cleaning material used after each apartment they have cleaned. They have been explained to keep their distances and minimum contact with the guests. Each staff has their own hand sanitizer. In case there is an infected guest with Covid-19, our staff have been educated on how to handle the laundry and the disinfecting of the apartment. Any staff suspected or having symptoms of Covid-19 will be place in the isolation room located above the reception.
Public Spaces
We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the waiting area, door handles, public bathrooms, parking areas, apartment entrance, reception, changing room and even room keys.
Checking-Out
Even before the existence of COVID 19, we have always done a thorough cleaning before the next guest checked in, but we ensure you that the room will get a deep cleaning when guests depart and there will be a gap of 24 hours before the next guest check in.
Back-of-House
In the spaces where our staff works “behind the scenes,” we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like staff lockers, storage rooms and laundry room and all equipment use for laundry and also their food preparation area.
Visitors
We have a sign board in the entrance of the property stating that:
"ENTRY IS PROHIBITED FOR EVERYONE WITH KNOWN SYMPTOMS OR WHO HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID -19 CASE IN THE PRIOR 14 DAYS. "
All visitors, car hire representative, travel representative and tour guides etc will be ask to wait in the waiting areas.

Guest Rooms
We use cleaning and disinfecting procedures to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items, such as door handles, hand railing on stair case and light switches. We already have hot water system in the kitchen witch the guest and the staff will use when washing up the dishes. Garbage will be removing daily.

Guests that are feeling unwell or have enquiries regarding their health, will contact us at the reception or to call the manager, Judith Confiance on her mobile number 2511330. Her contact number is printed on the health and hygiene posters and stickers throughout the building, or to call the health department on 141.
